A section of 8th Concession Road will be closed to through traffic next week while the City of Pickering carries out a cross culvert replacement.

According to a City of Pickering notice, the closure will run from Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 23, 2026, with the road shut daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where the closure applies

The closed stretch is 8th Concession Road between Sideline 2 and Sideline 6. A full road closure is required each day to facilitate the culvert work.

Emergency services will be able to reach the area, and property owners from 3000 8th Concession Road to 3050 8th Concession Road will have access from Balsam Road, the notice states.
